Education and Master Classes
June 19 - June 30th - Summer Strings Workshop- at Baldwin High School. This two week camp / workshop will allow students to study and work with visiting guest artists and perform a gala concert at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center Castle Theater. This camp will be under the direction of Iolani Yamashiro , orchestra director, Kamehameha Schools, Maui campus.
June 26-30 - Los Angeles Music Academy Bass and Guitar Camp - LAMA will set up shop at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center teaching intermediate and advanced students and adults their style of guitar and bass. This is a unique opportunity to study with one of the world’s leading rhythm schools. Maui Arts and Cultural Center.

June 26-30 - Beginning and Intermediate Guitar During the five days of this workshop classically trained guitarist and instructor, Lucien Kouassi, will expose students to learning chords in an applied way. This proven method is designed to have students playing in the record time. Most students will know their beginning chords in 20 minutes or less and will spend the remaining time building speed in changing the chords while learning to play a song. June 26-30 Wind Symphony Workshop - Baldwin High School Band Room. Nassau Suffolk Performing Arts will join forces with the Maui Community Band for a two-day workshop series and two gala performances. This camp will be under the direction of Lisa Owen, Music Director, Seabury Hall.
June 26-30 Explore the Arts Workshop Series - This week long workshop series offers a comprehensive exposure to a wide range of art disciplines including art, music and dance. Daily performances will be offered by visiting guest artists including Henry K. Allen, Nassau Suffolk Performing Arts , Adisa Omar Camera and Emil Richards. - Maui Preparatory Academy
June 27-30 Emil Richards Jazz Camp -This camp will place renowned jazz percussionist, Emil Richards, teaching and performing with individuals and student bands from Maui High Schools and Nassau Suffolk Performing Arts. Students will perform in a gala jazz concert at the Grand Wailea Hotel with the Nassau Suffolk Vocal Jazz Ensemble and the Emil Richards Jazz Quartet. Workshops will be held at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center.

Demonstration Clinics - Music and performance demonstration clinics will be conducted by Nassau Suffolk Performing Arts, New York. These clinics will be presented at various venues throughout Maui.
